      Safety Requirements

      At the Georgia Ports Authority, safety is at the heart of the Authority's core values. It is a priority that is embedded in every department and carried out by more than 1,000 employees each day. It is a priority we stress to our employees and more than 6,000 customers and other port users daily transiting our terminals.

      Contractors shall comply with the attached Safety Requirements and Guidelines in force, and as amended from time to time when working within any restricted and/or operational area of the GPA. The Contractor shall fully comply with all applicable local, state, and/or federal rules, regulations, codes, ordinances, and/or laws including, but not limited to any applicable environmental, OSHA, U.S. Coast Guard, NFPA and ANSI Standards. Each Contractor is solely responsible for the safety and health of its employees, agents, subcontractors, and on-site vendors. Failure to comply with requirements and guidelines may result in termination of the contract and removal of the Contractor.
