The first step to establishing an opportunity to sell goods or services to the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) is to register as a vendor on-line, by clicking on this link, or the Vendor Registration link.
Registering as a vendor with the GPA will place vendors on the bid list for the commodities selected; however, it does not guarantee notification of bid opportunities.
The registration process requires you to select commodity codes for goods and services that you are capable of providing, and is designed to trigger relevant bid notification to the registered vendors. The GPA has its own printable commodity code list displayed on the web site. Vendors should check off all commodity codes that would apply to their business. When the GPA posts a bid or quote using one of the commodity codes listed for your company, you will receive an e-mail or fax notification. The notification will then provide you with instructions on how to download a request.
The GPA will make every attempt to notify registered vendors of bid/quote opportunities; however, it is the vendor’s responsibility to update vendor information when any changes occur. All notifications are addressed to the contact person or to the e-mail address provided by the vendor. If these individuals leave your firm or their role changes significantly, your vendor information will need to be updated.
Vendors may update their vendor registration in the event that information previously provided has changed. Vendors will need to enter their Tax ID and password exactly as originally entered.
